What are the pre-requisites for this module?

The only pre-requisite is that you should be able to recite the Qur’an.

What syllabus will I follow?

You will study Duroosul Lugah Al Arabiya (Madinah course books 1 and 2). Starting with the most basic sentence, it helps students in preparing to tackle longer structures. There is extensive coverage of Arabic in a very short period.

Why is this syllabus unique?

Modern and traditional Arabic are combined for a fuller approach. Essential Arabic grammar rules of Nahw (syntax) and Sarf (morphology) are introduced with simplicity, removing the monotonous task of memorizing rules.

What will I achieve from this course?

A student who passes at a good – excellent level should be able to understand, speak and translate Arabic for simple daily contexts. They will also be able to advance into further modules for Qur’aan and Hadeeth.

How much support will my tutor give me?

Your tutor will be ready to support you by phone, email, or messaging service. You can contact them as and when you need extra help or guidance.

Will my work be assessed? And how?

There are 6 assessments over the course of the module. They are to aid and consolidate your studies. Your tutor will also mark your assignments and give you feedback on your progress. There are no examinations for this module.

What are the computer requirements for this course?

Any device with internet access is fine for accessing content, although word processor is needed for submitting assessments. Any additional software recommended will either be provided or is freely available.

What are the fees and what’s included in the cost?

Included is 14 months access to the module website, interactive online activities (video and audio materials), links to assessment resources; 2 books of Readings and tutor support and guidance. Also included is the weekly LIVE session access (+ replays), and our specially crafted color coded notes booklets (there are 6 booklets in total)

The price for all this is only £450 and the duration of the module is approximately 14 months. If a small amount of additional time is needed then insha Allah this can be facilitated. This includes course books and is payable before the start of the module. Additional postage costs may apply (this is dependent on your location – we will inform directly should this be the case).
